Tai Chi: Moving for Better Balance

Falls are a threat to the health and independence of older adults and can significantly limit their ability to remain self-sufficient. The evidence-based Tai Chi: Moving for Better Balance provides an opportunity to reduce falls, and improve physical function and balance.

Moving for Better Balance Classes

The Tai Chi: Moving for Better Balance program complements a variety of health care settings. Designed specifically for community-dwelling older adults and senior service providers, this program is based on the research and program development of Dr. Fuzhong Li. With support from the State of California Department of Public Health, the UC San Diego Center for Integrative Education serves as hub and support network for Tai Chi instructors specializing in this protocol.
