The Center for Integrative Education (CIE) oversees integrative educational programs for medical students, residents, and the community — including continuing education for health professionals and public programs such as Light-Induced Guided Healing Therapy (LIGHT) and our Foundational Hypnotherapy Certificate Program.

LIGHT is an evidence-based mind-body protocol that blends guided imagery and hypnotherapy into a structured, personalized approach. Designed to engage creative imagination, LIGHT supports emotional resilience, self-reflection, and lasting behavioral change.
It’s offered through seasonal Booster Sessions, group programs, and private one-on-one sessions — with many participants continuing LIGHT as a self-guided practice long after completing a program.

This 8-week certificate program combines in-class learning with at-home study for a rigorous exploration of hypnotherapy — integrating the scientific foundation of the practice with hands-on technique. Participants learn from industry leaders with both practical and academic expertise, in a course supported by research published in the American Journal of Medicine.
The program is also offered in Spanish as Fundamentos de Hipnoterapia.
