Patient clinician interactions, lifestyle and resilience in aging

Dr. Dossett is a general internist who specializes in integrative medicine. She sees patients for integrative medicine consults at the UC Davis Integrative Medicine Clinic. She has extensive experience in using mind-body approaches to reduce stress and mitigate the negative health effects of stress.

Her research is focused in two primary areas. The first, in understanding the mechanisms by which enhanced patient-clinician interactions contribute to improved health outcomes for patients. Her second research focus is in the field of integrative medicine broadly, and more particularly in understanding the health benefits of mind-body medicine/stress-reduction practices for both patients and clinicians.

In her free time, she enjoys vegetarian cooking, hiking, meditating, practicing yoga, playing the harmonium, and singing.
