These irresistibly soft, chewy, and sweet cookies are perfect the high-pleasure, low-guilt concoctions! Surprise your friends with these softies that are full of simple sugars like glucose and fructose, carbohydrates, and protein.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups oat flakes
- ½ cups chopped dates
- ½ cups almonds
- 1 cup amasake
- Pinch of sea salt
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
- ¼ teaspoon grated orange peel
- 12 almonds (for decoration)
Instructions:
- Roast oats in a skillet, stirring over medium heat until hot but not browned.
- Rub oats and dates together.
- Blend in blender ½ cup at a time until thoroughly blended.
- Remove. Then grind almonds to powder in blender.
- Mix all ingredients.
- Oil a cookie sheet and shape dough into 12 2” round, flat cookies.
- Press an almond into the center of each.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
