Dear Free Live Meditation Session Community, 

We want to express our deepest gratitude for your active participation in our Free Live Meditation Sessions. Over the past few years, our beautiful community has grown, and we are immensely thankful for your commitment to self-care and for inspiring others within the community to do the same. 

As many of you know, we initiated the Free Live Meditation Sessions in March 2020 through a collaboration between the Center for Mindfulness and the Sanford Institute for Empathy and Compassion at UC San Diego. Our shared vision was to support the public during the unprecedented times of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Over the past three and a half years, we have conducted more than 2,100 live meditation practice sessions, with over 33,000 participants joining us from across the globe. It has been a great joy and honor to connect and practice with all of you. 

Starting this September, we will be introducing slight changes to our session schedules. We will now offer three 30-minute meditation practice sessions and these sessions will be added to our existing Continuing Practice webpage.  

Additionally, we are excited to announce a new offering, a 30-min Introductory Workshop. This workshop is designed for those interested in starting a mindfulness and compassion meditation practice and who wish to learn more about the evidence-based mindfulness courses available at our Center. Even if you have been practicing with us for the past few years, you are more than welcome to attend this workshop. It is open to all!   

All our sessions will be offered on a donation basis.   

Once again, we extend our heartfelt thanks for your ongoing participation, and we look forward to seeing you in our upcoming meditation practice sessions!
