The REACH Pilot Research Program is centralized across the REACH Network — RAND REACH, UCSD REACH, and PITT ENRICH — supporting early-stage complementary and integrative health research. Awards are up to $32,500 for projects lasting up to one year.
Applicants must be a PI-eligible staff or faculty member from one of the REACH Network partnering institutions. These partnering institutions are colleges or programs of complementary and integrative health that are formally partnered with UCSD REACH, ENRICH at U Pitt, or RAND. Funding Decision
Applications are reviewed by REACH Network reviewers using the NIH scoring system, evaluating the Importance of the Research, Rigor and Feasibility, and Expertise and Resources. If your application is recommended for funding, you will be asked to submit Just-in-Time materials — including PHS 398 forms, biosketches, and, if applicable, IRB documentation — before NCCIH gives final approval of the funding plan. Funded investigators are expected to submit a midpoint and final progress report, and to acknowledge REACH/NIH funding in any resulting presentations or publications.
