Practice-based research is a form of original research undertaken within the setting of medical practice. The workshop educated health providers and students on the principles and practice of PBR and helped establish new research collaborations to support their research interests.

In collaboration with the Naval Medical Center San Diego, the Center recently co-hosted a Military and Veteran Resiliency Medicine Summit. The Summit, with speakers from around the US, highlighted best practices, cutting-edge research and helped attendees develop new skills in mind-body medicine. The overarching goal of the Summit was to improve integration of these disciplines into the care provided to service members, veterans and their families.
